  • QUALIFICATIONS

    Board eligibility is acceptable, with opportunities available for candidates directly out of residency. Specializations are not required for most assignments, though general diagnostic radiology skills are in high demand.

  • AVAILABILITY

    Flexible availability is key, with assignments typically ranging from 1-4 weeks per month. Most schedules align with day shifts, 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.

  • LICENSURE

    While IMLC licensure is not required, it can expand placement opportunities. Radiologists can often secure positions without additional state-specific licensure.

  • KEY ATTRIBUTES

    Expertise in general diagnostic radiology, including reading plain films, MRIs, CTs, ultrasounds, and other modalities, is essential. Placements are common in Level I or II trauma centers, with a focus on emergency room reads. Onsite radiologists are in particularly high demand.
