Hayes Locums has reached its eighth-year anniversary milestone. And what a year it has been for our country and the medical community.

We are collectively living through historic times, which certainly contributes to why this anniversary carries with it so much significance for our firm. As we consider our humble beginnings and how we’ve grown through the years, we are proud of the occasion. This anniversary represents our steady commitment and dedication to serving our clients and providers.

By recruiting and placing top-quality physicians and advanced practice clinicians at client facilities, we are in our own way, playing a part in the patient care equation. Our role as a best practice medical locums agency is rooted in entrepreneurial determination. For co-founders John Hayes, Bobby Moses and Ryan Scharer, it is as rewarding an endeavor as ever. The trio agrees: It’s been an evolution. Being an essential business for the medical community is the pulse of the firm and its continued purpose.

Meaningful moments that mark our anniversary year include:

  • The strategic growth of Hayes Locums brought about the need for larger offices to accommodate our leadership, consultants and support teams. We are excited to announce that our custom-designed branded offices are located in a new building in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
  • Hayes Locums received Diamond Status with the Best of Staffing Award for five consecutive years, consistently earning industry-leading satisfaction scores from our clients and providers. It is an honor for our firm to be recognized by Best of Staffing as a Diamond Award winner.

“Our role as a best practice medical locums agency is rooted in entrepreneurial determination.”

Since COVID-19 prevented us from gathering to celebrate this year’s anniversary, here are Hayes Locums Co-Founders at last year’s celebration in 2019: Ryan Scharer (left), John Hayes (center) and Bobby Moses (right).

Working Together

We are grateful for the relationships that our consultants have built with clients and providers over the years. Understanding our clients’ needs and then building off of those by getting to know the needs of our providers, has been a win-win for all of us. Camaraderie and relationships have been cultivated. Teamwork is our formula for success with our Medical Support Staff and our other employees who hold true to our founding principles. Our consultants and other critical teams at Hayes Locums work diligently to help provide exceptional patient care across the country.

“Being an essential business for the medical community is the pulse of the firm and its continued purpose.”

Looking back, “We never did business for the sake of just doing business. We tried to solve problems,” says John Hayes, CEO. “That’s how it is now. Just solving problems and people helping people.” Doing the right thing has always been the Hayes Locums pledge, and that meant being able to “put the right people in the right places.”

Here and Now

Despite the recent unparalleled challenges for our country, hospitals, healthcare systems and providers, we have found that reflecting on the positives that got us to where we are today is how we keep pushing forward.

There is no doubt that the pandemic has changed business. “It’s given us a chance to reset,” says Hayes. Being intentional and helping others is a Hayes Locums constant. The firm’s future-forward footing is still in keeping with our stance from the start: Hayes Locums is committed to doing the right thing and making a difference, every time.
